DOT Class C Driver with Air Brake Endorsements

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Summary: 

The job of the Driver is to provide support to the warehouse operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders to customers, ensuring on-time deliveries, safely operating vehicles and following company safety guidelines for loading and unloading vehicles. Essential Job Functions:

• Drives truck or van to transport materials to customers, verifies loads against shipping orders and obtains signed receipts for material delivery 

• Determines the best route to deliver the product timely to meet the customer expectations 

• Records delivery information, inspects truck, equipment and supplies as required and immediately reports deficiencies

• Performs all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse as well as loads and unloads trucks

• Operates and maneuvers warehouse equipment and any material contained in a consistent manner with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturer's instructions 

• Follows company safety procedures and complies with all company policies and procedures

• Promotes and maintains good customer relations

• Reports customer feedback to company management including, customer requests, returns, performance, competitive information and potential sales opportunities 

• Performs material handler responsibilities as needed

• Reports out of stock items to Warehouse Manager/Branch Manager 

• Continues training on various electrical products 

• Keeps warehouse (including bins and aisles) neat and orderly

• Observes all company safety procedures and attends all mandatory safety meetings 

• Adheres to safe forklift operations 

• Perform other duties as assigned 

• Work mandatory overtime as needed Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Valid State Driver's License - Real I.D. Required

• AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENTS

• Must have clean DMV record 

• Current auto insurance 

• Forklift certification or ability to acquire certification

• Ability to operate Stake Bed Trucks 

• Excellent customer service skills

• Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse environment 

• Ability to read and write in English legibly 

• Able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)

• Ability to work independently and in a team 

• Able to work in a fast paced environment

• Detail oriented 

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to lift or pull up to 30 pounds, sit, communicate, reach, manipulate objects, tools or controls, climb ladders or onto trucks, and/or operate wire cutting machinery and/or operate a forklift. The position requires mobility, manual dexterity and coordination 50% of the time. This position requires employees to walk on concrete or other hard floor surface; stand continuously; pull heavy items in warehouse or yard; load and unload trucks from ground level or platform. There will be repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity; repetitive climbing; continuous repetitive kneeling and reaching overhead, above shoulder and below shoulder; twisting and bending.

Working Conditions:

Office or warehouse environment. May be exposed to dust, heat or cold, and other environment seasonal changes. Minimum physical exertion.
