Position Overview

\n

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction, maximizing system performance, and identifying opportunities for repairs, replacements, and maintenance agreements.

\n

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, customer-focused, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently while representing the company professionally in the field.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Service & Repair

\n

\n
• Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and indoor air quality systems
\n
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues
\n
• Perform emergency and scheduled service calls
\n
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
\n

\n

Preventative Maintenance

\n

\n
• Perform maintenance inspections and tune-ups
\n
• Identify worn or failing components before breakdowns occur
\n
• Document system condition and recommendations
\n
• Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
\n

\n

Customer Service

\n

\n
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers
\n
• Present repair, replacement, and maintenance agreement options
\n
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
\n
• Deliver exceptional customer experience
\n

\n

Documentation & Technology

\n

\n
• Complete service tickets and documentation accurately
\n
• Record parts used, labor performed, and recommendations
\n
• Utilize company software and mobile technology for job management
\n

\n

Safety & Compliance

\n

\n
• Follow all OSHA, EPA, company, and manufacturer safety standards
\n
• Maintain EPA certification requirements
\n
• Properly maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
\n

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

Required

\n

\n
• High School Diploma or GED
\n
• EPA Section 608 Certification
\n
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
\n
• 3+ years HVAC service experience
\n
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
\n

\n

Preferred

\n

\n
• NATE Certification
\n
• Residential and light commercial HVAC experience
\n
• Experience with service software platforms (Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, etc.)
\n

\n

Physical Requirements

\n

\n
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
\n
• Climb ladders and work on rooftops
\n
• Work in varying weather conditions
\n
• Frequently bend, kneel, crawl, and reach overhead
\n
• Operate tools and equipment safely
\n
