Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for second shift operations at a Milwaukee medical center. The role involves receiving, processing, and preparing clinical specimens while maintaining lab equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
• Monitor lab equipment functionality and execute routine maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish test bench supplies
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and complete administrative record logs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months medical or laboratory work experience
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and identifying them accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to work extended periods sitting or standing in fast-paced environment
