Job Description

Job Title: Power BI / Tableau

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

Analyze and deconstruct existing Tableau dashboards, reports, and data sources to identify business requirements and translate them into Power BI solutions.
Migrate Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI while maintaining functionality, data accuracy, and visual consistency.
Evaluate feature differences between Tableau and Power BI and propose effective solutions to address functionality gaps.
Review existing security frameworks and implement equivalent security measures in Power BI, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls.
Connect Power BI to various data sources, including relational databases, spreadsheets, and cloud-based services.
Clean, transform, and prepare data using Power Query to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
Develop efficient data models, relationships, measures, and calculations using DAX.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive, user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable business insights.
Optimize dashboard and report performance by improving data models, DAX calculations, queries, and refresh processes.

Skills :

Analyze and deconstruct existing Tableau dashboards, data sources and reports to extract key requirements, then seamlessly translate and implement these insights into Power BI
Evaluate the feature discrepancies between Tableau and Power BI, and propose actionable solutions to bridge these gaps
Review existing security framework and implement same in Power BI
Connect Power BI to various data sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services, ensuring seamless data integration
Clean, shape, and model data to make it suitable for analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Design and develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights
Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively
